SHANGRI-LA SHOUGANG PARK, BEIJING

Shangri-La Shougang Park hotel was originally the Shougang Power Plant with a history that dated around 1919. The hotel located at the north section of Shougang Park, with a collection of natural scenery and cultural heritage. With Shijing mountain on the north and Qunming Lake on the east, next to The Big Air on the south and surrounded by the Yongding River on the west. Beijing Shougang construction investment co.,Ltd invited the renowned Italian company, Lissoni Casal Ribeiro S.p.A to lead the overall design of the project, with CCTN Design and BSIET was responsible for the detailed design and construction design. The design of the hotel retains the typical features of Shougang Power Plant to the maximum extent, and the original style of the old building has been fully demonstrated combining with the aesthetics of ontemporary architecture. The large variety of plants shows the green and stainable development concept of Shougang and helps the massive reduction of carbon emission.
